It's been a long time...
The Lord has spoken to me through the worship, through c and through an angel He sent. Thank You Lord for showing me that You still love me despite me running away from You.
May I find back the way to You Lord. Though I do not know how. But in Your time as i learn to surrender and obey once again.
May your love touch p too..

Inspired by Doraemon!
The thought of having the Imprinting Egg is funny yet sweet... It puts me in lalaland for a while and not face the very real issues... Although we know from the story that at the end of the day... We wouldn't want to rely on the gadgets...

May I realise...
Lord let Your will be done and not mine.. Let me lead with Your ways and not mine.. Let me see through Your eyes and not mine.. Let me show love in Your ways and not mine.. Let me be Have strength in You and not in myself.. Then I know I may be successful.. All because of Your grace! Amen!

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Reflection...
Today there was a student who was very difficult to handle and I can understand why adults around her may be so angry. But I thought since we teach the students that all feelings are legitimate and what is important is how we respond to the feelings, then we should walk the talk and model for them?
Besides I really wonder if getting angry till one gets out of control is helpful for the student? Isn't it true that we are often working with limitations and it is important to recognise and acknowledge the limitations. It is definitely not using the limitations as an excuse for not doing anything about it, but it will never be about disregarding the limitations as well. Now I really would want to ask what would the person do then? If we are not doing enough, I don't mind knowing and doing more, but I know exactly that we are doing what we can and we can only do what we can.
I saw how parallel process took place today and I am thankful I am so aware. Just as S said... I handled well and the person would feel ashamed if there is a moment of reflection.
As adults helping children, know that your words and actions matter. You either break or build a child. It is important and worthwhile to be mindful of your emotions, actions and limitations. A precious insight I have always reminded myself is not to do anything to a child that I would regret later. With that, it not only protects the children I work with but it also protects myself.

yet an active mind...
think there are reasons for it.. had a 2.5 hour session with a parent today... the work with the child client is really not easy... I wished certain things did not happen to her...
as I looked through the many artworks of my clients in preparation for a training that I am doing next week... the progress my clients have made became so clear to me... yet I have not been seeing it! and has been doubting or lamenting on the work that I am doing...
dont't get me wrong... it is not that I don't enjoy my work.. in fact I love it and I know it is a privilege to be in this profession... but it does get trying at times... when I need to crack my tiny brain hard to find ways to be effective and be of true help to my clients...
from the images just now... I am reminded that the work takes time... it is definitely not a quick fix... but there will be baby steps to the bigger fixes... So NEVER GIVE UP!
on another note... I watched Child of Rage again... Tears well up everytime I watch it...
